THE FORMAT
HOW IT WORKS
Double elimination. Head-to-head racing. Every athlete gets multiple chances to advance.
NES uses mirrored lanes to ensure both athletes face the same challenge while preserving natural obstacle flow.
REGISTRATION & WARM-UP
Register for your age division, attend the Rules Walkthrough with live demonstrations, and warm up on the official competition course before racing begins.
HEAD-TO-HEAD RACING
Two athletes race mirrored side-by-side lanes. Scoring is determined by penalties first and time second. Fewer penalties wins — if tied, the faster time advances.
DOUBLE ELIMINATION
Lose once and drop to the Redemption Bracket. Lose twice and you're eliminated. The last athlete standing wins the bracket.
FINALS QUALIFICATION
The Top 5 athletes — or Top 30% of the field (whichever is larger) — qualify for Finals at each event, capped at 8 qualifiers. Medals are awarded to the Top 3 finishers. If a qualifying position results in a tie, a single-elimination head-to-head tiebreaker race determines who advances.
FINALS & CHAMPIONSHIPS
Finals placements award 1.5× season points. The Grand Champion wins the Finals bracket. The Season Champion earns the highest cumulative points across the season. The Quicksilver Champion is awarded for the most fastest clean runs.
WAIVER REQUIRED BEFORE COMPETING
All athletes must have a signed digital waiver on file before participating in any NES event. Minors require a parent or legal guardian signature. Complete it now so you're ready on race day.
